Responsibilities

  • Lesson Planning: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Sociology curriculum, using a variety of teaching strategies and resources.

  • Assess Student Progress: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback and targeted support to help students meet and exceed expectations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching Sociology at KS4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Subject Knowledge: Strong subject knowledge of Sociology, including key theories, research methods, and contemporary issues.
  • Classroom Management: Excellent communication and behaviour management skills, with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Passion for Sociology: A genuine passion for Sociology and for inspiring students to engage with social issues and critical thinking.
