Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school within their Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP), where you'll play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs to achieve their full academic, social, and personal potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils within the ARP.
  • Create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans, adapting teaching strategies to support a range of additional needs.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff to ensure pupils receive high-quality, targeted support.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting confidence, independence, emotional wellbeing, and social development.
  • Use a range of effective behaviour management and communication strategies to support pupils with complex learning needs.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, using assessment data to inform planning and next steps.
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, parents, carers, and external professionals to support pupil development and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Promote inclusion by supporting pupils to access mainstream opportunities where appropriate.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and associated learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
  • Experience creating and delivering differentiated lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs.
  • A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for inclusive education.
  • Confidence in working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support pupil progress.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
