Are you a resilient, approachable, and dynamic Teaching Assistant with proven experience supporting students in SEND settings or SEMH provisions?

One of our valued partner schools in Rochester are currently seeking full-time Teaching Assistants to join their team on a long-term basis, starting as soon as possible. This secondary school specialises in supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs as well as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The school prides itself on providing a nurturing, structured environment and is looking for passionate individuals ready to make a positive impact in the lives of young people who need it most.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH and ASD needs.
Support the delivery of personalised learning plans and behaviour management strategies.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals.
Help students develop both academic skills and emotional regulation.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and consistent learning environment.
What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience supporting students in SEMH or SEND settings, ideally at secondary level.
A calm, patient, and resilient nature with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
Strong teamworking and communication skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of vulnerable young people.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
