SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Cardiff Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £76.98-£85 per day About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Cardiff. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs and helping them reach their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and small-group support for students with additional learning needs, helping them engage fully in classroom activities. Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting lesson materials to suit the needs of each student. Encourage the development of social skills, confidence, and independence in a safe, supportive setting. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to monitor progress and ensure a cohesive approach to student development. Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that values the diversity and uniqueness of each student. About You To succeed in this role, you should be patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about making a difference in students’ lives. Previous experience supporting students with special educational needs is highly desirable, as well as a commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment. Requirements Experience working with children with SEN, ideally within a school setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff. A patient, adaptable approach to working with students of varying abilities.
