SEN Autism Specialist Job Role: SEN Autism Specialist Location: Radlett Contract: Full-time Daily Rate: £85.50 – £120 Start: ASAP Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Autism Specialist looking to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives? We are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing individual to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school community in Radlett. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional learning needs, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a structured and supportive school environment. About the Role As a SEN Autism Specialist, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support, helping pupils access learning, develop communication skills, and build confidence and independence. You will play a key role in creating a structured, calm, and supportive environment where every child can thrive. Our Ideal Candidate will be: Providing 1:1 and small group support for children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional learning needs Implementing personalised learning plans, behaviour strategies, and structured routines to support progress and engagement Using visual supports, communication tools, and sensory strategies to aid learning and emotional regulation Supporting pupils in developing communication skills, independence, and confidence Helping children access a broad and balanced curriculum, including life skills learning Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils in managing anxiety and emotional needs Working collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals Contributing to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment Supporting pupils’ inclusion in school life and the wider community Encouraging independence and helping children develop their preferred methods of communication Requirements: Proven experience working with early years children, preferably within a primary school setting Sound knowledge of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework and best practices in early childhood education Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check WE ARE OFFERING A £100 REFERRAL FEE FOR ANY SUCCESSFUL REFERRALS OF FRIENDS/COLLEAGUES WHO WORK 5+ SHIFTS!
