We are supporting a warm, inclusive school in Watford that is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a real difference to pupils with additional needs.

This is a rewarding role supporting children with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The school has a strong pastoral ethos, a supportive SEN team, and places a real emphasis on understanding each child as an individual.

The role will involve:

Providing tailored 1:1 support to pupils with SEND
Supporting learning both inside and outside the classroom
Implementing strategies set out in EHCPs and individual support plans
Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff
Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
Helping to create a calm, safe, and nurturing environment
The school is looking for someone who:

Has experience supporting children with SEND (education, care, or youth work)
Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
Can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Is confident supporting behaviour and emotional needs
Is reliable, proactive, and genuinely passionate about SEND
