We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team at a school located in Aylesbury. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse abilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lessons using a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
  • Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and other professionals to foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to address individual needs.
  • Maintain transparent communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies for continued support at home.
  • Promote an inclusive classroom environment that encourages understanding, acceptance, and positive social interactions among students with and without special needs.
  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in special education, attending relevant workshops and conferences to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and respectful classroom environment, providing support to students with challenging behaviours.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Proven experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and developmental disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
