Room Leader – Infant School
Location: High Wycombe
Type: Part Time – Mornings and Afternoons
This lovely primary school is a renowned educational institution committed to providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment for primary school students. Our mission is to foster holistic development, academic excellence, and a love for learning in each child.
Role Overview:
As a Room Leader, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space for our students. You will lead a team of educators, design and implement engaging lesson plans, and collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure the best possible educational experience for our students.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a classroom of EYFS and KS1 students with care, creativity, and professionalism.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Mentor and guide a team of assistant educators, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic learning environment at all times.
- Uphold school policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of education and discipline.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
Ideal Applicants:
- Former Class Teacher seeking part time
- HLTA
- Nursery manager or Room leader
- Experienced Teaching Assistant
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Not Essential).
- Experience in a teaching or leadership role within a primary school setting. (Leadership not Essential)
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
