Religious Education (RE) Teacher – Portsmouth
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Long-term until December 2025 (potential to become permanent)
Pay: £160 – £240 per day (depending on experience)
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm | Full-time

Role overview

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school located in Portsmouth to recruit a dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher. This role is set to begin in September 2025 and will run until December 2025, with a strong likelihood of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive RE lessons that reflect a range of religious and cultural perspectives.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of RE within the school.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment with high standards of behaviour.
  • Take an active role in school life and support extracurricular opportunities where possible.
