Supply Desk is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Rickmansworth. This full-time position is available from September and offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.

Job Description:
• Deliver high-quality RE lessons across KS3 and KS4, following the national curriculum and tailoring content to meet the needs of all learners.
• Foster an environment where students feel comfortable exploring a wide range of religious beliefs and moral issues.
• Plan and assess learning in line with departmental and school expectations, ensuring progress for all students.
• Promote spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development through engaging and inclusive teaching.
• Build positive relationships with students, encouraging participation and critical thinking.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies, extracurricular activities, and enrichment opportunities.
• Use assessment data to inform teaching strategies and provide feedback to students and parents on progress.
• Participate in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and contribute to a positive and forward-thinking department culture.
Our ideal candidate will:
• Be a qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent, specialising in Religious Education.
• Have experience teaching RE in a UK secondary school setting (NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply).
• Be passionate about helping students explore different worldviews and develop respectful attitudes toward diverse beliefs.
• Have strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach to supporting student wellbeing.
• Be an excellent communicator, able to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
• Be committed to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in the classroom.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a clear enhanced DBS check.
