Supply Desk is excited to be working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Leighton Buzzard that is seeking a passionate and engaging Psychology Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is an incredible opportunity to teach a subject that is both academically rigorous and deeply relevant to students' everyday lives.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exciting and thought-provoking Psychology lessons to KS4 and KS5 students
  • Teach core topics such as memory, attachment, psychopathology, social influence, and research methods
  • Encourage debate, analytical thinking, and independent enquiry
  • Use real-life case studies to bring psychological concepts to life
  • Prepare students for AQA GCSE and A-Level Psychology examinations (or equivalent)
  • Track and support student progress through well-planned assessments and feedback
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including sixth form enrichment and pastoral support

Ideal Candidate

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Psychology and a genuine passion for the subject
  • Be confident in planning and delivering lessons that challenge and inspire
  • Have experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Psychology (preferred but not essential)
  • Be committed to promoting a growth mindset, inclusivity, and student wellbeing
  • Have excellent communication and classroom management skills
