Year 4 Primary Teacher looking for your next opportunity?

We are seeking a dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school, where you'll inspire pupils to develop their knowledge, confidence, and love of learning across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Teach a Year 4 class across core and foundation subjects, ensuring lessons are appropriately challenging and accessible to all pupils.
  • Develop pupils' knowledge and skills across English, Maths, Science, and the wider curriculum.
  • Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress, using assessment information to inform planning and provide targeted support.
  • Differentiate lessons and learning activities to meet the needs of pupils of different abilities, including those with SEND.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance, effort, and achievement within the classroom.
  • Support pupils' social and emotional development, confidence, and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil progress and development.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, particularly Year 4, is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for inspiring and engaging primary-aged pupils.
  • A commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupils of all abilities.
  • A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
