About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate Year 2 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Hertfordshire from September 2026. This is a full‑time position teaching Year 2, where you will have the opportunity to inspire young learners and make a lasting impact on their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
- Support pupils academic, social and emotional development
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps
- Create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply and will be fully supported
- Experience teaching within KS1, particularly Year 2, is desirable
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A positive, proactive and reflective approach to teaching
