The Role
We are seeking a proactive SEN Keyworker to work closely with students requiring additional support. You will play a vital role in delivering targeted interventions and supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Supporting students with additional needs through planned interventions and one-to-one support
- Working closely with the SEN department to implement individual support strategies
- Helping students to improve engagement, behaviour, and academic progress
- Building positive, trusting relationships with students to promote wellbeing and confidence
- Supporting teachers within lessons where required
- Monitoring and tracking student progress and providing feedback to staff
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or SEN setting
- A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build relationships and positively influence student outcomes
- A proactive attitude and willingness to support across different areas of the school
Previous experience supporting students with SEN or SEMH needs is desirable but not essential.
