Contract Type: Long-term (until July 2026, with potential to become permanent)

Salary: Up to Β£27,000 per annum

Hours: 08:00, Monday to Friday

About the Role

We are seeking a Pastoral Assistant to join a thriving sixth form college in Southampton. This is an exciting long-term opportunity to support students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in promoting student wellbeing, safeguarding, and engagement, working closely with the pastoral team to provide guidance and support. This is a position where empathy, resilience, and excellent communication skills make a real difference every day.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing pastoral care and wellbeing support for students across the college.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for student concerns and signposting to appropriate services.
  • Supporting attendance, behaviour, and engagement initiatives.
  • Assisting with safeguarding processes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to create a supportive environment.
