About the Role
Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and passionate Nursery Practitioner looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive nursery, where you'll play an important role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing through engaging, nurturing, and age-appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and individual needs are met at all times.
- Plan and support engaging, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development.
- Support children's development across key areas including communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, and numeracy.
- Encourage children to develop their confidence, independence, social skills, and positive relationships with others.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported.
- Observe and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records and contributing to their individual learning journeys.
- Support the delivery of activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Adapt activities and approaches to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of each child.
- Promote positive behaviour using calm, consistent, and age-appropriate strategies.
- Build positive and professional relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- A warm, caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
- The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your own initiative.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
