About the Role:

Supply Desk are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a thriving early year setting and ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are maintained at all times. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader with strong operational and childcare experience who is committed to creating a positive environment for children, families, and staff. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, support/develop the team and drive continuous improvement across the setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the nursery
  • Ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
  • Inspire, support, and develop nursery staff through effective leadership
  • Maintain high standards of care, learning and child development
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external professionals
  • Manage occupancy, staffing ratios, budgets and nursery administration
  • Monitor and improve quality standards throughout the setting
  • Lead recruitment, inductions, supervisions and staff training
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and engaging nursery culture

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (Or relevant degree)
  • Previous experience in a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager position (Desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Sound understanding of nursery operations and compliance
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
