RE Teacher - Southampton Secondary School Start Date: October 2026 Contract: Long-term until April 2027 Salary: £175 - £260 per day (dependent on experience) Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Location: Southampton Job Description Supply Desk are supporting a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Southampton in their search for a dedicated RE Teacher to join their team from October 2026. This is a full-time position teaching Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the role expected to continue until April 2027. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons, encouraging students to explore a range of beliefs, values, and ethical issues while developing critical thinking and discussion skills. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality RE lessons across KS3 and KS4. Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the curriculum. Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback. Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement. Inspire students through engaging and inclusive teaching. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department. Contribute positively to the wider life of the school. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level. Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for RE. Excellent classroom management skills. Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities. Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
