Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and well-regarded secondary school in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, to recruit a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher for a September start. This role is ideal for a Maths specialist who is enthusiastic about numeracy, confident delivering engaging and structured lessons, and committed to helping pupils develop strong mathematical understanding, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
The Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring pupils and supporting progress in all areas of mathematics. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Teaching key topics such as algebra, geometry, statistics, and number
- Preparing students for assessments and GCSE Maths
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback
- Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
- Working collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school staff
- Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 and/or KS4) (ECTs welcome with relevant Maths teaching placements)
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- An engaging, enthusiastic, and supportive teaching style
- Availability to start in September
- Ability to commute to Bourne End, Buckinghamshire
