Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and well-regarded school in the Maidenhead area to appoint an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher. The Role

As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and personal development, delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 1 and 2. You will contribute to both curriculum PE and extracurricular sport, helping to build a strong sporting culture within the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across a range of sports and activities
  • Inspire pupils to participate actively and develop their physical skills and confidence
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support development
  • Support pupils of all abilities, including those with additional needs
  • Contribute to extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and school sporting events
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment in line with health and safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department and wider school

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching PE in a Primary school setting (or strong placement experience)
  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Passionate, energetic, and engaging teaching style
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work full-time in the High Wycombe area from September

Desirable

  • Experience teaching Primary PE
  • Ability to contribute to a range of extracurricular sports
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN
  • Knowledge of assessment frameworks within PE
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
