About the Role:
Supply Desk are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a thriving early years setting and ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are maintained at all times. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader with strong operational and childcare experience who is committed to creating a positive environment for children, families, and staff. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, support/develop the team and drive continuous improvement across the setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the nursery
- Ensure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
- Inspire, support, and develop nursery staff through effective leadership
- Maintain high standards of care, learning and child development
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external professionals
- Manage occupancy, staffing ratios, budgets and nursery administration
- Monitor and improve quality standards throughout the setting
- Lead recruitment, inductions, supervisions and staff training
- Promote a positive, inclusive and engaging nursery culture
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or relevant degree)
- Previous experience in a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager position (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Sound understanding of nursery operations and compliance
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
