Supply Desk is looking for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEN setting in Fareham.

Working alongside experienced teachers, you'll support pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping them gain confidence, achieve their learning goals and enjoy coming to school each day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils individually and in small groups during lessons.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and engagement.
  • Assist with literacy, numeracy and intervention sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SEND professionals.
  • Help create a calm, inclusive and positive classroom environment.
  • Promote safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Patient, caring and encouraging nature.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Positive and proactive attitude.
  • Commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
