Supply Desk is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Uxbridge to appoint a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative school community with flexibility available for both full-time and part-time applicants.

This role would suit an enthusiastic and motivated teacher with a strong understanding of Key Stage 2, who is committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential and develop confidence in their learning.

The Role

As a KS2 Teacher, you will support pupils in developing key academic skills while fostering independence, resilience, and a positive attitude to learning. You will deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge learners across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum
  • Support pupils progress in reading, writing, and maths
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and targeted interventions
  • Support children with a range of abilities, including those with SEN
  • Promote pupils confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Engaging, adaptable, and supportive teaching style
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in Uxbridge on a full-time or part-time basis from September

Desirable

  • Experience teaching Year 3, 4, 5 or 6
  • Strong subject knowledge across core KS2 subjects
  • Experience using assessment data to support pupil progress
  • Experience supporting children with SEN
  • Commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning
