Level 3 Teaching Assistant (ASC) – Leighton Buzzard Location: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire Type: Full Time Salary: £90 – £120 per day Start Date: September 2025 We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive team at a well-established school in Leighton Buzzard. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with ASC, providing both academic and emotional support to help them thrive. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with ASC, both in group settings and on a one-to-one basis. Assist in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to plan and implement targeted interventions and personalised learning strategies. Monitor students’ academic and emotional progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team and suggesting areas for development. Support the development of students\’ social and emotional skills through well-planned and engaging activities. Assist with the management and de-escalation of challenging behaviours, ensuring a calm and supportive environment. Ideal Candidate: Experience supporting children or young people with ASC is highly desirable. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with young people who may exhibit challenging behaviours. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support students and work collaboratively with colleagues. The ability to stay calm, focused, and solution-oriented in high-pressure situations. A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
