Full-Time, Long-Term Learning Support Assistant

Location: Bushey, Hertfordshire

Start Date: February 2026

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting February 2026.

Role Overview

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of students. Your role will be crucial in helping children gain confidence, develop essential skills, and reach their full academic potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and small-group support tailored to students' needs
  • Assist with classroom organisation and foster positive behaviour
  • Adapt learning materials to suit different abilities and interests
  • Support lesson delivery and classroom activities
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with students and staff
  • Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and safeguarding
  • Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
