Learning Support Assistant Primary School
Full-Time Long-Term September 2025 Start
Supply Desk is delighted to be partnering with a welcoming and well-regarded Primary School in Borehamwood. We re currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the school on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September.
This is a fulfilling opportunity to support young learners, particularly those with additional learning needs, as they begin their education. If you\’re enthusiastic about helping children thrive and want to be part of a caring school community, we d love to hear from you.
The Role:
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support across Key Stage 1, depending on your experience and the specific needs of the class.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Supporting pupils through targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and emotional development

Assisting in the delivery and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in class activities

Building nurturing and supportive relationships with pupils and staff

Adapting resources and learning materials to meet individual needs

Monitoring and recording pupil progress to inform teaching strategies

Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
What We re Looking For:

Previous experience working with children, ideally within a Primary school

A calm, patient, and encouraging approach

Excellent communication skills and a strong team player

Proactive, adaptable, and passionate about supporting learning

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
