The Role
As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
- Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and promotes good behaviour
- Using effective assessment strategies to monitor progress, identify next steps, and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
- Supporting the development of core skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and wider curriculum subjects
- Encouraging independence, creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving through purposeful and interactive learning experiences
- Supporting pupils personal development, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
- Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff to maximise pupil outcomes
