Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils who display challenging behaviour or emotional needs
- Helping children stay focused, motivated, and positively engaged in lessons
- Using de-escalation strategies and promoting positive behaviour choices
- Assisting teachers with routines, classroom activities, and behaviour plans
- Building trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe and understood
- Adapting to different school settings, age groups, and individual needs
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people (education, youth work, care, mentoring, etc.)
- A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Confidence supporting pupils with behavioural or emotional needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
