Contract Type: Day-to-Day, Short-Term & Long-Term Supply (Part-Time & Full-Time Available)

Daily Rate: £89.05–£95 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs? We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support to pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in a supportive learning environment. This flexible opportunity allows you to work in a variety of school settings while gaining valuable experience supporting pupils with diverse needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and other learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with SEN.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Support pupils with their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and support staff.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable but not essential).
  • A patient, caring and supportive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility, reliability and a proactive attitude.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
