We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 EYFS Key Person to join a welcoming Nursery School in Watford. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who is passionate about giving young children the very best start to their education.
The successful candidate will become a valued member of the Early Years team, taking responsibility as a Key Person and helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can learn, develop and thrive. The school is looking for someone with a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification and is happy to wait until later in September to secure the right person.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a Key Person for a group of children, building strong and positive relationships with them and their families.
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
- Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through high-quality interactions.
- Observe, assess and record children's progress, maintaining accurate learning journeys and records.
- Promote children's independence, confidence and social development.
- Work closely with colleagues and parents/carers to support each child's individual needs and next steps.
- Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting.
- A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
- A warm, caring and patient approach to supporting young children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
