Supply Desk are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Southampton

Starting January 2026 on a long‑term contract

Pay: £95- £100 per day

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

This school is noted for children enjoying going to school and for it’s supportive and hardworking staff who make learning fun and forge strong bonds with their pupils.

Job Description:

  • Working as PPA cover throughout year groups teaching a range of subjects
  • Supporting whole class with Guided Reading, Maths and English, phonics and general classroom support if needed
  • Supporting those with additional needs including EHCPs
  • Full time role with the opportunity of a permanent contract
  • Pay:Daily Rate (Ā£95-Ā£100)
    • Location: Southampton
    • Start Date: January 2026
    • Contract Length:Long Term –Potential to become permanent
    • Hours:Full time

Individual Profile:

  • Good subject knowledge required
  • HLTA certification or teaching certification or a CACHE Level 3 award
  • Must have good classroom and behaviour management
  • Passionate, enthusiastic and proactive individual
  • Intervention experience preferred
  • As the school is in the suburbs – a car is a necessity
