Higher level Teaching Assistant – KS2 – Waterlooville
Start Date: March 2026
Contract: Long-term with the potential to become permanent
Salary: £90 – £105 per day (Dependent on experience)
Hours: 08:30 – 3:30
Location: Waterlooville
We are looking for an experienced HLTA to work in an Ofsted rated “Good” school with a fantastic reputation for inclusion. The school boasts well behaved children and a supportive and established staff. This role would include covering PPA and illness throughout KS2.
You must have an HLTA or CACHE level 3 qualification to apply for this role. This would be an excellent role for an ECT looking to take their first steps into teaching.
Responsibilities
- Covering classes on a planned or ad hoc basis
- Providing EHCP support for those pupils with additional needs
- Teach booster sessions for those who need support to meet their academic targets
- Assisting teaching staff with adapting learning resources to suit individual needs.
- Encouraging students to build independence, confidence, and resilience.
- Supporting the smooth running of the classroom and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Excellent classroom management skills
