Supply Desk is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Hazlemere (HP15) to appoint a passionate and adaptable PPA Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative school community, delivering high-quality teaching across a range of year groups while providing valuable release time for class teachers. This role would suit an enthusiastic and motivated teacher with a broad understanding of the primary curriculum, excellent classroom management skills, and a flexible approach to teaching across different phases.
The Role
- Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards of teaching and behaviour.
- Play a key role in supporting pupils’ progress while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons across a range of year groups in line with the National Curriculum.
- Provide high-quality cover for teachers during PPA time, ensuring continuity of learning.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils across different key stages.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Support pupils with a range of abilities, including those with SEN.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.
- Assess and provide feedback on pupils’ progress where appropriate.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and carers.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team.
Requirements
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS and/or KS1 and KS2 curricula.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Flexible, adaptable, and confident teaching across different year groups.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work full-time or part-time in the Beaconsfield area (HP9) from September.
- Previous experience in a PPA or cover teaching role.
- Experience teaching across multiple key stages.
- Experience supporting children with SEN.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning.
