- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Social Communication Difficulties
- Has a caring, patient and nurturing approach.
- Builds strong relationships with pupils, families and professionals.
- Delivers engaging, child-centred learning that promotes communication, confidence and independence.
- Is creative, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
Experience or knowledge of the following would be advantageous
- Makaton
- British Sign Language (BSL)
- PECS
- Signalong
- AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
- Intensive Interaction
- Attention Autism
- Total Communication approaches
- Visual communication strategies and sensory communication techniques
- Working alongside Speech and Language Therapists (Sa LT)
- Supporting pupils with hearing aids or cochlear implants
