About the Role

Supply Desk is recruiting a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming nursery in the Hemel Hempstead area.

As part of a friendly and supportive team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality childcare and early years education, helping children build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve their full potential through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children aged 0–5 can learn, play, and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities that support children's development in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress, supporting their individual learning journeys.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Encourage children's social, emotional, and physical development through engaging play and learning experiences.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies to maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Assist with daily nursery routines, including mealtimes, personal care, and general classroom organisation.

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and current safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A positive, caring, and proactive approach to supporting young children.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
