About the Role
Supply Desk are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and personalised learning to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Support pupils with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records in line with EHCP targets.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external professionals.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support engagement and achievement.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Strong understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning approaches.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
