ASC SEN Teaching Assistant – Hatfield Location: Hatfield Start-date: September Contract type: Full-time Pay: Competitive rates of pay Supply Desk are seeking a professional, passionate, and dedicated ASC SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive specialist school in the Hatfield area, starting this September. This full-time role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant with experience or a strong interest in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a range of additional needs. The successful candidate will be patient, compassionate, and adaptable, with a commitment to creating a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment where every pupil is supported to achieve their individual potential. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils to access learning and develop their communication, social, emotional, and independence skills. You will play an important role in supporting pupils throughout the school day, adapting to their individual needs and helping them build confidence and positive relationships. Responsibilities: • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with ASC and additional needs • Support pupils with their learning, communication, social, emotional, and independence skills • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement individual learning and support plans • Liaise with parents/carers and relevant professionals where appropriate to support pupil development • Contribution to extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs • Cooperation with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible outcomes Requirements: • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), is desirable • Passion for supporting the development of learning, communication, independence, and social skills • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting individual pupil needs • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills • Inclusive ethics • Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding What we offer: • Comprehensive safeguarding training • Weekly payments • Ongoing support from experienced, local education consultants • A supportive team and environment • Excellently equipped facilities • Opportunities for continued professional development (CPD and training) • Refer a friend scheme This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs.
