A vibrant, small school in the Winchester suburbs is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support with small group teaching for a group of children who need extra support. This role may include planning and resourcing with support from class teachers. This long-term role begins ASAP, with potential to go permanent for the right candidate.
Applicants must hold an HLTA qualification, CACHE Level 3 in Education, or an Education Degree.
Key responsibilities for this Higher Level Teaching Assistant role are:
- To be able to adapt planning and resources to suit the needs of the group and individuals
- To step into the role of the teacher at points to deliver lessons if a teacher is absent or on PPA
- Take part in collaborative planning and assessment
- Be confident to support individuals with additional needs
- Be an active member of the wider school community
The minimum requirements for this Teaching Assistant role are:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- 2 Years worth of references
- A current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
- Have an HLTA qualification/a level 3 CACHE certification/ a degree in education
