What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Encouraging students to develop reading, writing and analytical skills
  • Contributing to curriculum planning and development
  • Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment
  • Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Creating a positive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Contributing to departmental initiatives and enrichment activities

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students
  • A creative and adaptable teaching approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all students
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
