Supply Desk is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Great Missenden (HP16) to appoint a passionate and adaptable PPA Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative school community, delivering high-quality teaching across a range of year groups while providing valuable release time for class teachers.

This role would suit an enthusiastic and motivated teacher with a broad understanding of the primary curriculum, excellent classroom management skills, and a flexible approach to teaching across different phases.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards of teaching and behaviour.
  • Play a key role in supporting pupils’ progress while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons across a range of year groups in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Provide high-quality cover for teachers during PPA time, ensuring continuity of learning.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils across different key stages.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with a range of abilities, including those with SEN.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.
  • Assess and provide feedback on pupils’ progress where appropriate.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – desirable.
  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS and/or KS1 and KS2 curricula.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and confident teaching across different year groups.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a PPA or cover teaching role.
  • Experience teaching across multiple key stages.
  • Experience supporting children with SEN.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning.
