1:1 and small group Teaching Assistant – Gosport/Fareham
Pay: £85-95 per day
Contract: Short term – September 1st to October half term
Learning Support Assistant role required in the Gosport area for a September start. This is a warm and nurturing infant environment that places strong emphasis on early learning, emotional development and building children’s confidence from the very start of their school journey. Staff work closely with families, creating a supportive atmosphere where young learners feel secure, valued and ready to explore new ideas.
About the Role
- Working 1:1 with a child with an EHCP
- Experience working both 1:1 and in small groups
- Be patient, empathetic but be able to give clear and consistent boundaries
- Able to ensure that children make good progress and gain sound understanding
- Be happy working with children aged 4-6
Duties include
- Helping with pupils learning and development
- Supervising pupils in the playground, dining hall, cloakrooms and in class
- Keeping records of each pupil’s progress against EHCP targets
- Helping students develop life skills and mentoring them to have a positive outlook
- Be able to adapt resources to meet children’s individual needs
