A high-performing Sixth Form College located in Southampton is seeking a Chemistry Teacher to join their Science Faculty immediately for an initial 4-week assignment. The college is known for its Outstanding educational standards, modern facilities, and supportive environment.
You will be delivering engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to 16-18-year-old learners, helping students develop strong scientific understanding and confidence as they prepare for examinations and higher-level study.

Responsibilities
- Teaching Chemistry to A‑Level/Level 3 learners (mainly 16-18 age group)
- Delivering engaging theory and practical content in line with course specifications
- Supporting students preparing for assessment and examinations
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
- Working collaboratively with the Science Faculty and contributing to high-quality curriculum delivery
Qualifications
- A qualified teacher with UK QTS or relevant FE teaching experience
- Experience teaching Chemistry to KS4/KS5 (A‑Level experience desirable)
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for post‑16 education
- Confident classroom management and the ability to motivate learners
- A commitment to safeguarding and professional practice
