About the Role
We are looking for an Activity Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in the Southampton area. This unique role involves supporting students with additional needs during off‑site activities such as golf, gymnastics, tennis, and bowling, as well as providing assistance during the school day. You will accompany students on the school minibus, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while helping them engage in activities that promote physical development, confidence, and social skills. About the School
This is a specialist provision for students aged 11‑16 who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. Many learners have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and some may have additional challenges such as autism or ADHD. The school focuses on re‑engaging students in learning through a personalised curriculum, combining academic subjects with practical and vocational experiences.
