Supply Desk are seeking Secondary Supply Teachers in and around Southampton.
Hours: 08:15 - 15:30
About the role: Supply Desk is working with secondary schools and sixth form colleges around Southampton, Hampshire, that are seeking supply teaching staff to support them over the coming months from September 2025. As a supply teacher, you will cover classes in the teacher's absence with all work prepared in advance. It is essential that you are confident with behaviour management and adaptable in covering a range of subjects. We offer a consistent range of work in secondary schools in the area and provide an efficient service, including a guaranteed pay scheme for a certain number of days per week even if you do not work.
Location: We are looking for teachers and staff based around Southampton and surrounding areas such as Winchester, New Forest, Eastleigh and Fareham.
We are looking for teachers who:
- Have a clear knowledge and understanding of the secondary curriculum
- Are comfortable teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Have experience with high levels of Army-connected pupils in the local area (beneficial)
- Are confident covering a range of subjects, with a subject specialism being a bonus
- Are committed, professional and good communicators with excellent interpersonal skills
- Are Qualified Teacher / Registered with GTC/ QTS/ NQT / ECT
- Are happy to support more challenging schools where behaviour may be present
- Have a DBS on the Update Service
- Are available in the mornings and for at least 1-2 days per week on a regular basis
