About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Primary Teacher to join this SEN school on a long‑term basis from September 26 until July 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a specialist provision and make a meaningful impact on students who benefit from a primary‑style curriculum within a secondary‑age setting. You will be responsible for delivering creative, differentiated lessons, celebrating progress, and fostering both academic and personal development.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for KS3 pupils working at primary level
  • Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports social and emotional growth
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders
  • Track and record pupil progress, contributing to EHCPs and personalised learning plans
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
  • Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies

What We’re Looking For

  • A recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching within KS2 (SEN experience desirable)
  • A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Patience, creativity, and empathy
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs
