About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Primary Teacher to join this SEN school on a long‑term basis from September 26 until July 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a specialist provision and make a meaningful impact on students who benefit from a primary‑style curriculum within a secondary‑age setting. You will be responsible for delivering creative, differentiated lessons, celebrating progress, and fostering both academic and personal development.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for KS3 pupils working at primary level
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports social and emotional growth
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders
- Track and record pupil progress, contributing to EHCPs and personalised learning plans
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies
What We’re Looking For
- A recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
- Experience teaching within KS2 (SEN experience desirable)
- A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Patience, creativity, and empathy
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs
