We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Business Teacher to join our school in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to delivering high-quality education and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

About the school:

The school is based in Southampton and is a Secondary School for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 860 students in total. The school has a keen interest in promoting the learning of Business Studies, as well as creating a friendly and enthusiastic environment through all aspects of teaching. The school places great value in their staff and offers loads of support to its team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Business Studies across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (GCSE and A-Level).
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that foster critical thinking and creativity.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Promote the use of Business Studies to enhance learning across the curriculum.
  • Contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and resources.
  • Support students in their personal and academic development, providing guidance where needed.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the wider community to support student achievement and well-being.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Business, or a related field (or equivalent).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Business Studies curriculum.
  • Experience teaching Business at secondary school level.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
