About the Role

Supply Desk are looking to appoint a nurturing, motivated, and qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming and collaborative nursery team in the Watford area. This is an excellent opportunity for an early years professional who is committed to supporting young children’s learning, development, and wellbeing within a safe and engaging environment. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality early years care and education, supporting children’s development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children aged 0–5
  • Plan and deliver stimulating, age‑appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS framework
  • Support children’s learning, development, and emotional wellbeing
  • Develop positive and trusting relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s progress effectively
  • Maintain safeguarding, health, and safety standards at all times
  • Support daily nursery routines, including mealtimes and personal care

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Positive, caring, and proactive approach to childcare
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
