Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Burnham to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years specialist to join a nurturing school environment and make a positive impact on pupils at the very start of their education journey.
This role would suit a passionate and creative teacher who has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and is committed to providing engaging, child-centred learning experiences. As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality Early Years curriculum, creating a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive.
- Planning and delivering creative, engaging EYFS lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Supporting children’s development across all areas of learning
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress in line with EYFS standards
- Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and staff
- Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and communication development

Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Desirable
- Experience teaching within Early Years / Reception
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- A creative and engaging teaching style
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for supporting young children in their early development
- Ability to work full-time in Burnham from September
Desirable:
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (SEN)
- Knowledge of phonics schemes (e.g. Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds)
