Supply Desk is working in partnership with a supportive and well-regarded secondary school in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, to recruit a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher for a September start. This role is ideal for a Maths specialist who is enthusiastic about numeracy, confident delivering engaging and structured lessons, and committed to helping pupils develop strong mathematical understanding, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

The Role

  • Delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring pupils and supporting progress in all areas of mathematics.
  • Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Teaching key topics such as algebra, geometry, statistics, and number.
  • Preparing students for assessments and GCSE Maths.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement.
  • Working collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school staff.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 and/or KS4) (ECTs welcome with relevant Maths teaching placements).
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • An engaging, enthusiastic, and supportive teaching style.
  • Availability to start in September.
  • Ability to commute to Bourne End, Buckinghamshire.
