Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support students' learning, boost their confidence, and encourage personal growth. You will play a vital role in helping children develop key skills, build independence, and thrive both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to students.
- Assist with classroom organisation and support positive behaviour management.
- Adapt resources and activities to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Assist teachers during lessons and classroom activities.
- Foster strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
- Help create and maintain a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Monitor and report on pupils' progress and overall wellbeing.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or similar environment is preferred.
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive in your approach to supporting students.
- Confident in behaviour management and classroom routines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of inclusive practices and safeguarding standards.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
